The Voice You Trust Most
May Be the One Costing You the Most.

You wouldn’t be here if you didn’t have a strong desire to succeed.

And with that desire comes a voice in your head that insists it knows best. A voice that can quickly turn into a chorus depending on what's at stake.

Maybe it beats on you and calls that “tough love,” because the world is hard and you need thicker skin. Maybe it tells you you’re not good enough – not yet – and frames that as motivation.

Maybe it reminds you how far you still have to go, just in case you start to feel proud for a second. Maybe it quietly suggests you’re not cut out for this at all, because the pain of failing publicly would be unbearable.

It believes it’s the reason you’ve made it this far.

And at one time, it may have helped you survive.

But over time, it takes more than it gives. The feelings of safety, satisfaction, and success never seem to last.

That voice tells you it’s helping you stay in control, persevere, and grow.

But it slowly, silently wears you down.

These voices are your Saboteurs. They quietly undermine the fulfillment you’re working so hard to earn.

In the name of success, they steal your ability to enjoy the process, relax, appreciate what you’ve built, and feel fulfilled.

And if you’re not aware of how they operate, you may not realize how often they’re speaking.

These voices have a language. It’s specific, it’s patterned, and it’s hiding in plain sight. You’re using this language every day without realizing it’s reinforcing the very pressure you’d like to escape.

If you don’t recognize the language, you can’t interrupt it.

And if you can’t interrupt it, the language keeps shaping how you experience success – no matter what you accomplish.

If you’re ready to start seeing what you haven’t been seeing, the first step is simple: learn the language.

That’s why I created a short briefing on the everyday phrases quietly integrating with these voices. Once you recognize them, you’ll start noticing them immediately. And once you notice them, you’re no longer unconsciously governed by them.

You don’t need fixing. You need awareness of whodunnit.

When you can’t operate under your current level of pressure and stress any longer, B.O.B. might show up for a visit.

EXHIBIT A:

B.O.B., a.k.a. Business Owner Burnout, is a serious threat to any business or creative endeavor. And once they’ve made an appearance, it's tough to get them to leave.

B.O.B. will set up shop in your favorite chair, content to doom scroll, eat takeout, and binge watch streaming content. B.O.B. has zero interest in "getting things done" because B.O.B. *is* done. Things like wearing real clothes, planning, and productivity are out because B.O.B. lost your vision between two couch cushions at some point and doesn't have the energy or desire to look for it.

Trying to reason with B.O.B. or motivate them is usually fruitless. It’s easier to join them. And soon, distraction and “cozy” move to the top of your agenda.

And it’s a dangerous cozy, like basking in the silence after an airplane engine fails.

It’s the kind of silence that shouldn’t be there.

And if you’re someone who cares deeply about your work, the absence of drive doesn’t feel like rest.

B.O.B. is not the first sign of trouble. They’re who shows up when the warning signs were ignored.

The good news is B.O.B. doesn’t arrive without clues. The pressure that brings them about has a language. It repeats itself long before the engine goes quiet.

Learn to hear that language now so you don’t have to meet B.O.B. later.

Maybe you already know B.O.B.

Or hopefully B.O.B. still feels like a distant character in someone else’s story.

Either way, this isn’t about waiting to see what happens.

Long before B.O.B. ever shows up, the pressure that creates Saboteurs leaves a trail. It shows up in small, everyday phrases that feel normal, responsible, even necessary.

And they’re dangerous, because most people would never think to question them.

If you can learn to hear that language clearly, you can keep B.O.B. at bay and stay in charge of your own mind.

Start here. Download the briefing. Read it slowly and see what you recognize.

Once you know, you’ll know.
